Grammy nominations 2025: The Grammy Awards, presented by The Recording Academy, are music’s most prestigious honor, recognizing excellence in recorded music.
This awards have become very popular over the years and it’s every artist dreams to receive one.
They are various categories under which artists are nominated for the awards either through single hits or albums.
The internet has been abuzz with a lot of excitement as various Nigerian artists have been nominated in different categories for the awards.
Best African Music Performance
Under the 2025 Grammy nomination: The category of the Best African Music performance, had many Nigerian artists nominated here and those who were nominated include:
- Tems a female singer who inspires a lot of her fans worldwide with her soulful singing and beautiful rhythms. She is the highest nominee this year from Nigerian with over 3 different nominations. And Tems is now a 8X GRAMMY-NOMINATED ARTISTE.
- Burna Boy popularly known as the African Giant, has also been nominated for his song ‘Higher’ which was loved by his fans and released in this year.This nomination of 2025 has made him to be an 11X Grammy nominated artist.
- Yemi Alade has also been nominated for her beautiful melodious song ‘tomorrow’ which was released in 2024.
- Asake and wizkid have also been nominated for their song ‘MMS’, which was a good mix of vibes from our own Mr money with the vibes and starboy, the song was electrifying and full of good vibes. This nomination of this year has made Mr money with the vibe to be a 2X Grammy nominated artist.
- Chris Brown’s sensational ft Davido & Lojay this song belongs to international singer Chris brown but featured two Nigerian artists and was nominated under this category because of its diversity. It was a song full of rhythms and melodies that appealed to many fans all over the world the world.
